Hard water is an irritation for many!

For a client active in mechanical engineering, Peeters realized multiple spreader cabinets for large cranes between February and April 2026. These cabinets are used in ports, among other locations. Reliability was central to this project: the client wanted absolute certainty that the installations functioned completely flawlessly before they were put into operation.

The customers challenge

For spreader cabinets for heavy crane systems, the correct functioning of all signals and controls is essential. Any faults in the cabinet can lead to malfunctions or downtime of the installation. Therefore, the customer sought a partner who could not only handle the assembly but also perform the full inspection and testing of the system.

The solution

Peeters handled the complete assembly of the spreader cabinets, including the PLC control. During the project, close attention was paid to precise assembly, cabling, and the inspection of all components. Additionally, Peeters performed a full I/O test in which all signals were extensively checked and tested. This guaranteed that every cabinet functioned correctly and was delivered without errors. The team worked on the larger cabinets for an average of one and a half to two weeks per cabinet. The smaller cabinet was fully assembled and tested within approximately one week.

The result

The customer received fully tested and fault-free spreader cabinets that could be reliably deployed immediately within the crane systems. Thanks to the extensive checks and final tests, the customer has the assurance that any malfunctions are not caused by the control cabinets.
